'THE VAST BETWEEN'

There is a particular kind of silence that lives in the outback, wide, unhurried, and ancient. The Vast Between attempts to hold that feeling: the endless stretch of red dirt meeting a flat horizon, heat shimmering and dripping in the air, and the unlikely tenderness of wildflowers pushing through it all. Painted on an elongated canvas, the format itself echoes the landscape uncontained, reaching, refusing to be rushed. It is a work about distance, and about what it feels like to stand small inside something enormous.
